The VIT-Smooth GLOSS 500mm Pipe with Door - Ø 100mm is specifically designed for connecting gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances to your flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system. Crafted from zero-carbon steel and coated in a sleek, powder vitreous enamel gloss black finish, this single-skin flue pipe ensures durability and aesthetic appeal. Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 600°C, this pipe should not be used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls.
Installation is straightforward, but it's essential to maintain a gap of at least 375mm from combustible materials. The built-in door enables easy access for sweeping and maintenance, crucial for solid fuel applications. Remember to install the pipe correctly, with the smaller diameter pointing downward, to prevent condensates from escaping.
For added security, joints can be sealed with fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant. Cutting the pipe is possible, but exposed steel must be covered with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting. Always wear proper PPE during installation.
Regular maintenance, including annual chimney sweeping, is recommended.
