The VIT-Smooth Gloss Black 250mm Pipe (Ø 100mm) serves as a robust and efficient connecting pipe, suited for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances with operational temperatures up to 600°C. Manufactured from zero carbon steel and featuring a powder vitreous enamel coating in a sleek gloss black finish, this single-skin pipe excels in both functionality and appearance. It is crucial to note that this pipe should only be used as a connector between your appliance and components like the Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System.
It is not suitable for passing through ceilings or combustible walls. Ensure installation is done correctly with the smaller diameter pointing downward to prevent condensate from escaping. Each joint of the pipe is a friction fit, needing no sealant.
However, for additional security, joints can be reinforced with fire cement or high temperature silicone sealant. This pipe can be cut to size, but care should be taken to cover any exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting over time. Proper PPE is recommended during installation.
For maintenance, make sure to integrate inspection and cleaning provisions in your chimneys, especially for solid fuel systems, where it is crucial to have access doors at direction changes for thorough cleaning.
