Key Features and Their Benefits
1. Premium Material Use:
The use of 304 grade stainless steel for the outer layer and 316 grade stainless steel for the inner layer ensures that your storm collar is resistant to corrosion, even in the most challenging weather conditions. This guarantees a long life span and excellent performance over time.
2. Fully Welded Construction:
The all-welded design creates a uniform, leak-proof unit that dramatically minimises the risk of water penetration. This extensive welding process ensures that every seam is secure and capable of withstanding external stresses.
3. Superior Insulation:
The inclusion of compressed rockwool with different densities (200kg/m³ and 128kg/m³) provides excellent thermal insulation properties. This means that your chimney maintains an optimal temperature, which contributes to overall energy efficiency and safety by preventing heat loss.

Installation Process
A successful installation is crucial for the performance of any chimney accessory. Below are detailed steps for installing the TWPro MB Storm Collar:
- Preparation: Ensure that the area around the roof flashing is clean and free from debris. The installation surface should be dry to allow the silicone sealant to adhere properly.
- Positioning: Secure the storm collar about 25mm above the highest point of the flashing. This recommended spacing allows for optimal water runoff and effective sealing.
- Sealing: Apply a robust bead of high-quality silicone around the top edge of the collar. This step is critical as it ensures that the unit becomes completely watertight, preventing any water from seeping behind the collar.
- Final Check: Once installed, conduct a thorough inspection to confirm that all edges are well-sealed and that there is no gap in the positioning. Test the installation under simulated conditions to ensure its robustness.
