Secure connections are crucial; use fire cement, ceramic rope, tape, or high-temperature sealant for a gas-tight seal. Ensure your chimney system is designed for easy cleaning and maintenance by a competent person.
Regular maintenance, including sweeping by HETAS registered professionals, is recommended, especially for solid fuel appliances, to prevent blockages and deposits.
