The VIT-Smooth 90° Elbow with Access Door in a 125mm diameter is engineered for efficiency and reliability. This single-skin connecting flue system is crafted from zero carbon steel and coated with a durable powder vitreous enamel in a sleek, matt black finish. It is suitable for various appliances including gas, oil, and solid fuel, withstanding temperatures up to 600°C.
Designed exclusively for use as a connecting pipe between your appliance and either a Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System, the VIT-Smooth is not intended for passing through ceilings or combustible walls.When installing, ensure that the VIT-Smooth pipe is oriented correctly with the smaller diameter pointing downward. This design helps to keep condensates contained within the system, preventing any leakage that could tarnish its appearance. While the VIT-Smooth features a friction fit joint that generally requires no sealing, you may opt to use a jointing compound, such as fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant, for added security.
Important to note, if the pipe needs to be cut, cover any exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rusting over time. Please remember to maintain a safe distance of 375mm from any combustible materials such as wood or plasterboards when installing.Maintenance is straightforward with the built-in access door, making it easy to sweep and clean the chimney, particularly important for solid fuel applications. Regular inspection and annual sweeping are recommended to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
