This adjustable wall bracket is essential for providing lateral support to your flue system, but please note it is not load-bearing.When installing, ensure that the VIT-Smooth pipe is positioned correctly with the smaller diameter pointing downwards to retain condensates within the flue system. The joint requires no sealing due to its friction fit, although you may opt to use a jointing compound for extra security. If cutting the pipe, remember to cover any exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rust.
Always wear appropriate PPE during installation.Maintenance is straightforward; regular inspection and cleaning are particularly crucial for solid fuel systems. Adding access doors at direction changes enhances accessibility for maintenance tasks. For solid fuel appliances, annual chimney sweeping is recommended to maintain optimal performance.
