The VIT-Smooth Flue Damper - Ø 100mm is the perfect addition to ensure optimal performance and safety for your heating appliances. Crafted from zero carbon steel and finished with a durable powder vitreous enamel coating in matt black, this single-skin connector efficiently manages flue gases for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances with temperatures up to 600°C. Designed to be a connecting pipe that bridges your appliance to a Flue Liner, Chimney Stack, or Twin Wall Flue System, it should not be used to penetrate ceilings or combustible walls.
Installation is straightforward, requiring no sealing thanks to its friction fit joints, although jointing compounds can be used for added security. When cutting the pipe, ensure that exposed steel is covered with high-temperature paint to prevent rust. Proper maintenance, including annual sweeping and inspection, especially for solid fuel applications, will help maintain optimal performance.
