Comprehensive Buyers Guide
When it comes to ensuring the longevity and efficiency of your chimney system, the proper insulation of your flue liner is paramount. At National Flues, we understand the importance of a well-insulated flue, which not only optimises performance but also safeguards your property from potential moisture damage and associated risks. Our Rockwool Tube, measuring 1000mm in length with a 125mm diameter, has been engineered to meet the highest standards of durability and thermal efficiency.
Why Choose the Rockwool Tube?
Exceptional Heat Resistance: With a temperature rating of up to 500°C, this rock wool insulation is built to withstand continuous high temperatures without degrading. This feature is crucial in maintaining the structural integrity of your chimney, especially during extreme weather conditions.
Moisture and Condensation Control: One of the main challenges with traditional flue liners is the buildup of condensation, which can lead to mould growth and potential structural damage. The Rockwool Tube minimises condensation by providing a robust thermal barrier, thus maintaining a dry and safe environment inside your chimney.
Enhanced Safety: Manufactured from non-combustible materials, our Rockwool Tube is inherently safe. Its resistance to fungi, mould, bacteria, and vermin ensures that you have a clean, hygienic insulation solution that adds an extra layer of protection to your home.
Versatility for Various Liner Sizes: Whether your chimney requires a 125mm, 150mm, or even a 200mm liner, our product offers the flexibility to fit these dimensions. It can even be trimmed for a 175mm liner, ensuring that there is no compromise on performance regardless of the size you require.
Installation Made Simple
Installing your Rockwool Tube is straightforward. As you lower your flue liner down the chimney, insert the 1m sections of Rockwool Tube to create an effective insulating barrier. Key to this process is the proper sealing of the joints. We recommend using self-adhesive foil tape on all connections, followed by a layer of 50mm wide aluminium tape for reinforced protection. These additional accessories not only enhance the longevity of your installation but also ensure that the insulation remains secure and efficient over time.
