Before commencing installation, ensure that all components are present and undamaged. Pack 703 is designed exclusively for installations involving MI-FLEX flexible flue liners within a completely enclosed masonry chimney. Always verify that the existing chimney pot is structurally sound before integration. The kit should be assembled as follows: first, attach the Stainless Steel Pot Hanging Cowl with Mesh, ensuring it is securely fixed; next, fit the Nose Cone and the Adaptor to link to the black pipe or single wall flue. Finally, affix the Chimney Notice Plate in a visible location. Installation must be performed by a competent person, ideally a HETAS registered installer. Warning: Non-masonry enclosures such as timber or plasterboard do not comply with Building Regulations Document J. Regular sweeping and maintenance are advised to ensure system safety and longevity.

No, according to Building Regulations Document J, flexible flue liners can only be installed in a completely enclosed masonry chimney. Non-masonry enclosures such as timber or plasterboard are not acceptable.

The chimney system should be inspected and cleaned at least once a year. For solid fuel applications, it's recommended to sweep the chimney twice a year: once at the end of the heating season to remove deposits and once at the beginning of the next heating season to check for blockages.

Chemical cleaners or mild steel tools should not be used on stainless steel chimneys. Cleaning should be done by a competent person, and ideally by a HETAS registered sweep.
