The MI-VIT Lite 1000mm Pipe (Ø 125mm) is engineered to provide a durable connection between your appliance and the flue liner, chimney stack, or twin wall flue system. Crafted from zero carbon steel and coated in a stylish matte black vitreous enamel finish, this single skin pipe is built for gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances that operate at temperatures up to 600°C. When used with a seal, it achieves a P1 pressure rating up to 200°C (T200).However, ensure that the MI-VIT Lite pipe isn't used to pass through ceilings or combustible walls.
It should be installed at least 375mm away from materials like wood or plasterboards. Correct installation is key; always position the smaller diameter pointing downwards to keep condensates within the flue system. Joints for T600 high temperature setups don't require sealing, but for P1 positive pressure pellet installations, ensure every joint is sealed properly.
Remember, if you need to cut the pipe, cover any exposed steel with high-temperature paint to prevent rust over time.Maintenance is straightforward; install access doors at points where the direction changes to facilitate easy inspection and cleaning. For solid fuel appliances, it's advisable to sweep and maintain the chimney at least annually.
