This expertly crafted cowl ensures your chimney system is fully compliant and operates efficiently. It's specifically designed to take the vertical weight of the flue liner and is suitable for use with a variety of fuels, including wood (with less than 20% moisture), smokeless coal, gas, and oil.
It withstands temperatures up to 600°C (T600 designation). Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations Document J, it allows for safe operation when the flue liner is enclosed within masonry chimneys. The integrated rain cap and bird guard protect against water ingress and bird entry, adding to the system’s longevity and efficiency.
When installing, ensure the chimney pot is in excellent condition, free from cracks, with proper flaunching at the stack's top. For maintenance, it is crucial to have a competent person sweep the chimney at least once a year, ideally twice if using solid fuel. Remember, never use chemical cleaners or mild steel tools on stainless steel chimneys.
